The main topic of the article is positive definiteness of some class of functions on Coxeter groups. Using the notions of colour and colour-lenght (related to a subset of the set of generators and an element of a group) colour-dependent and colour-radial functions are considered. Then Abelian Coxeter groups and some infinitely generated Coxeter groups are examined with this respect. Finally, dihedral groups (both, finite and infinite) are studied and some characterizations of colour-dependent and colour-radial functions are presented. Also, applications of some obtained results to operator theory and noncommutative probability are shown.
