This book, divided into six chapters and an appendix, considers the use of Python for multiple criteria decision making problems. Each chapter considers a different method, with the first one considering the classic TOPSIS approach, followed by VIKOR, PROMETHEE and SIR. The mathematical background of each method is briefly explained, followed by many examples and sample codes in Python and an interpretation of the results. Chapters 5 and 6 study more advanced techniques, namely, the analytic hierarchy process and goal programming, which are both very popular methods in this field. Each chapter concludes with a useful list of references where the reader can find out more about each proposed approach.
