For a surface \(S\) and an open disc \(D\subset S\), the compact surface \(S - D\), i.e. \(S\) minus the open disk \(D\) (the hole) is called a once-punctured surface. A triangulation of a once-punctured surface is called irreducible if no edge can be shrunk without producing multiple edges or changing the topological type of the surface. In this article, a complete list of combinatorial structures of irreducible triangulations is made by hand for the once-punctured torus, consisting of exactly 297 non-isomorphic triangulations.
