The authors consider the Brill-Noether loci of the moduli space of stable vector bundles with fixed Chern classes over a smooth irreducible projective variety of any dimension over a field of characteristic zero.[\textit{L. Costa} and \textit{R. M. Miró-Roig}, Forum Math. 22, No. 3, 411--432 (2010; Zbl 1190.14040)], and [\textit{L. Costa} and \textit{R. M. Miró-Roig}, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 214, No. 9, 1612--1622 (2010; Zbl 1188.14012)]. They define a Petri map over a smooth projective variety with ample canonical bundle. The injectivity of the Petri map allows them to show the existence of a smooth point in the Brill-Noether loci. They then apply this fact on a very general quintic hypersurface in projective 3-space to obtain their main result. Furthermore, they show that the irreducible component of the Brill-Noether loci containing the smooth point has the expected dimension. [\textit{M. Leyenson}, Cent. Eur. J. Math. 10, No. 4, 1486--1540 (2012; Zbl 1291.14065)].
