If \(A\) and \(B\) are unbounded operators on a separable Hilbert space \(H\), the authors denote \(A\preceq B\) whenever \(\mathrm{dom}(A)\subseteq \mathrm{dom}(B)\) and \(Ax=Bx\) for any \(x\in \mathrm{dom}(A)\). Given a conjugation \(\mathcal C:H\to H\), that is, an anti-linear involutive and isometric operator, they say that a closed, densely defined operator \(T: \mathrm{dom}(T)\subseteq H\to H\) is \(\mathcal C\)-symmetric if \(T\preceq \mathcal C T^* \mathcal C\), and \(\mathcal C\)-selfadjoint if \(T=\mathcal C T^* \mathcal C\). The only conjugations considered in the paper are the anti-linear weighted composition operators \(\mathcal A_{\psi,\varphi}f= \psi\cdot\overline{ f\circ \bar \varphi}\), the action on \(\mathcal F^2(\mathbb C)\) of which can be described, using complex numbers \(a,b,c\) satisfying \(|a|=1\), \(\bar a b+ \bar b=0\), \(|c|^2e^{|b|^2}=1\), by the formula \(\mathcal C_{a,b,c}f(z)=c e^{bz}\overline{f(\overline{az+b})}\) [\textit{Pham Viet Hai} and \textit{Le Hai Khoi}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 433, No. 2, 1757--1771 (2016; Zbl 1325.47057)]. A formal differential operator is given by the expression \(\mathcal D[\psi](f)(z)=\sum_{j=0}^k \psi_j(z)f^{(j)}(z)\), for a family of entire functions \(\psi_j\) and \(k\in \mathbb N\). The authors denote by \(T_{\mathrm{max}}\) the operator which is defined by \(T_{\mathrm{max}}f=\mathcal D[\psi](f)\) on the set of functions \(f\) in the Fock space \(\mathcal F^2(\mathbb C)\) for which \(\mathcal D[\psi](f)\in \mathcal F^2(\mathbb C)\). This operator is called the maximal differential operator of order \(k\). In general an operator \(T\) is said to be a \(k\)-order differential operator if \(T\preceq T_{\mathrm{max}}\). The basic properties, such as density of the domain of definition, closed graph and others, are analyzed for such linear differential operators on the Fock space. The paper contains a complete characterization of the maximal differential operators which are \(\mathcal C_{a,b,c}\)-selfadjoint and also those which are selfadjoint in the standard way. The computation of the point spectrum of some of those operators is also exhibited.
