In this work, the author give some analogies and differences between the Hölder regularity theory for elliptic equations in divergence form with measurable coefficients in the classical and non-local setting respectively. The main purpose is to determine the highest \(\alpha =\alpha(L)\) value such that any solution to a homogeneous elliptic equation in divergence form with ellipticity ratio bounded by \(L\) and known as the best Hölder exponent. The main point of the result is that the best Hölder exponent, which is in exponential form of \(L\) for the classical case, turns into almost linear in \(L\) for the non-local case. These results are given as Theorem 1.1 and Theorem 4.2. A lower bound of the torsion function and weak Harnack inequality had been used as some main steps for the proof of the results.
