Let \(\mathbb{D}\) be the unit disc in the complex plane \(\mathbb{C}\) and \(\mathbb{T}=\partial\mathbb{D}\) be the boundary of \(\mathbb{D}\). If \(f\) is a function that has both partial derivatives at \(z\) in \(\mathbb{D}\) then \(|Df(z)|=|f_z(z)|+|f_{\bar z}(z)|\), \(f^*(e^{i\theta})=\lim_{r\to1^-}f(re^{i\theta})\). By \(\displaystyle \Delta_{\alpha,z}:=\frac{\partial}{\partial z}(1-|z|^2)^{-\alpha}\frac{\partial}{\partial\bar z} \), \(\alpha>-1\), we denote the weighted Laplace operator. A function \(f\) is called an \(\alpha\)-harmonic function in \(\mathbb{D}\) if \(\Delta_{\alpha,z}f(z)=0\). In this paper, a Schwarz-Pick-type inequality for \(\alpha\)-harmonic functions \(f\) in the unit disk is obtained. Let \(f\) be an \(\alpha\)-harmonic function in \(\mathbb{D}\), \(f^*\in C(\mathbb{T})\) and \(\sup_{z\in\overline{\mathbb{D}}}| f (z)|\leq M\), where \(M\) is a constant. Then, for \(z\in\mathbb{D}\), \[ |Df(z)|\leq\frac{M(\alpha+2)}{c_\alpha}\cdot\frac1{1-|z|},\quad\text{where }c_\alpha=\frac{(\Gamma(\alpha/2+1))^2}{\Gamma(\alpha+1)}\,. \] Estimates of the coefficients of the power series expansion of \(f\) are also obtained. As an application, a Landau-type theorem for \(\alpha\)-harmonic functions is established.
