Let \(\Delta\) denote the open unit disc in the complex plane, and, for a positive integer \(p\), let \(\Delta^p\) denote the open unit polydisc in \(\mathbb C^p\). For positive integers \(1\leq k\leq p\), let \(HI_k(\Delta,\Delta^p)\) denote the space of all holomorphic isometric embeddings from \((\Delta,k\,ds^2_{\Delta})\) to \((\Delta^p,ds^2_{\Delta^p})\), where \(ds^2_{\Delta}\) (resp.~\(ds^2_{\Delta^p}\)) denotes the Bergman metric on \(\Delta\) (resp.~\(\Delta^p\)). \textit{S.-C. Ng} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 138, No. 8, 2907--2922 (2010; Zbl 1207.32018)] completely described the space \(HI_k(\Delta,\Delta^p)\) for \(p=2,3\). The case \(p\geq4\) remained unknown. In the paper under review, the author provides a complete description of the space \(HI_k(\Delta,\Delta^4)\). He also proves that a known example of a holomorphic isometric embedding from \(HI_k(\Delta,\Delta^{qk};q)\), where \(q\) is the global sheeting number, is globally rigid for any positive integers \(k,q\geq2\). It generalizes one of the author's results from [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 144, No. 1, 347--358 (2016; Zbl 1336.53060)].
