The authors check in which cases does a canonical stratification of a family of surfaces (both in real and complex cases) satisfy certain regularity conditions. The studied surfaces have equation \(y^a = z^b x^c + x^d\) (in three dimensions) with positive integers \(a,b,c,d\); the discussed regularity conditions for the stratification \((V-Oz,Oz)\) are: Whitney regularity (a) and (b), Kuo--Verdier's (w)-regularity and Motowski's (L)-regularity. The classification results of stratifications are mainly from authors' prior works: [\textit{D. Juniati} and \textit{D. Trotman}, in: Singularités Franco-Japonaises. Paris: Société Mathématique de France. 127--138 (2005; Zbl 1083.14040)]; [\textit{L. Noirel}, Plongements Sous-Analytiques d'Espaces Stratifiés de Thom-Mather, Ph.D. thesis, University of Provence (1996)] and [\textit{D. Trotman}, Publ. Math. Univ. Paris VII 24, 123--152 (1986; Zbl 0639.57011)]. Some implications regarding the relations of the different regularity conditions are discussed.
