Intersection numbers on the relative Hilbert schemes of points on surfaces (Q1688494)

Let \(S\) be a smooth complex surface and \(D\) be a smooth divisor. The authors compute certain top intersections on the Hilbert scheme of points on \(S\) relative to \(D\). More precisely, they consider elements of the \(K\)-group of the relative Hilbert scheme that are well behaved under degeneration. The main result of the paper computes the generating series for the integrals of the top Euler classes of such elements in terms of the corresponding integrals on the non-relative Hilbert scheme of points on \(S\).
