The main result of this paper can be stated briefly as the surjectivity of \textit{D. Joyce}'s gluing construction [Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 25, No. 3, 201--251 (2004; Zbl 1068.53037); ibid. 25, No. 4, 301--352 (2004; Zbl 1068.53038); ibid . 26, No. 1, 1--58 (2004; Zbl 1068.53039); ibid. 26, No. 2, 117--174 (2004; Zbl 1078.53045); J. Differ. Geom. 63, No. 2, 279--347 (2003; Zbl 1076.53064)]) in a simple case. Firstly the classification theorem can be stated as follows. Theorem 1.1. Let \(W\) be a special Lagrangian varifold in \(\mathbb C^3\) with no boundary asymptotic at infinity to \(C\) with multiplicity-1. Then \(W\) is a multiplicity 1 varifold represented by \(C\) or \(tL+b\) for some \(L\in \{L_1,L_2,L_3\}, t>0\), and \(b\in \mathbb C^3\) where \(tL+b:=\{tz+b\in \mathbb C^3: z\in L\}\) and \[ \begin{aligned} C: & =\{(z_1,z_2,z_3)\in \mathbb{C}^3\setminus\{0\}:|z_1|=|z_2|=|z_3|,\;z_1,z_2,z_3\in (0,\infty)\}, \\ L_1: & =\{(z_1,z_2,z_3)\in \mathbb{C}^3:|z_1|^2-1=|z_2|^2=|z_3|^2,\;z_1,z_2,z_3\in [0,\infty)\}, \\ L_2: & =\{(z_1,z_2,z_3)\in \mathbb{C}^3:|z_1|^2=|z_2|^2-1=|z_3|^2,\;z_1,z_2,z_3\in [0,\infty)\}, \\ L_3: & =\{(z_1,z_2,z_3)\in\mathbb{C}^3:|z_1|^2=|z_2|^2=|z_3|^2-1,\;z_1,z_2,z_3\in [0,\infty)\}. \end{aligned} \] Let \(M\) be a Calabi-Yau manifold of complex dimension 3, and let \(X\) be a compact special Lagrangian 3-fold in \(M\) with only one singular point \(x\) modeled on \(C\), let \(L\) be non-compact special Lagrangian submanifold properly imbedded in \(\mathbb{C}^3\) and asymptotic at infinity to \(C\). Under some hypotheses, we can glue \(tL\) to \(X\) at \(x\) into a family of compact special Lagrangian submanifolds \(N_t\) of \(M\) with some \(t>0\) and tending to \(X\) as \(t\to +0\) as varifold. Consider the space \(\mathcal{V}\) consisting of all compactly supported special Lagrangian integral varifold with no boundary in \(M\). Let \(\mathcal{X}\subset\mathcal{V}\) consist of those \(Y\) which are singular only at one point and modeled on \(C\) with multiplicity 1, so that \(X\in \mathcal{X}\). The main result of this paper is Theorem 1.2. There exists a neighborhood \(\mathcal{U}\) of \(X\) in \(\mathcal{V}\) such that any element of \(\mathcal{U}\setminus\mathcal{X}\) may be obtained by Joyce's gluing construction. Here \(\mathcal{U}\setminus\mathcal{X}\) may be empty, in which case we have \(\mathcal{U}\subset\mathcal{X}\) and so \(X\) is unsmoothable. This theorem is refined as Theorem 1.5.
