Let \(S\) be a compact connected oriented smooth orbifold surface. The authors define the Teichmüller space \(\mathcal T(S)\) and the moduli space of projective structures \(\mathcal P(S)\) for \(S\). They use Bers' simultaneous uniformization to map \(\mathcal P(S)\) biholomorphically onto the total space of the holomorphic cotangent bundle \(T^\ast\mathcal T(S)\) of \(\mathcal T(S)\). The space \(T^\ast\mathcal T(S)\) is equipped with the Liouville holomorphic symplectic form while \(\mathcal P(S)\) also has a natural symplectic structure. The authors prove that the identification of \(T^\ast\mathcal T(S)\) with \(\mathcal P(S)\) is compatible with these symplectic structures. They also obtain the same kind of results for biholomorphisms constructed by using uniformizations coming from Schottky groups and Earle's version of simultaneous uniformization. The results in this paper generalize results previously known for compact oriented smooth surfaces to the orbifold case.
