Let \(G\) be a group, \((M,d)\) be a metric space, \(X \subset M\) be a compact subset and \(\phi : G \times M \to M\) be a left action of \(G\) on \(M\) by homeomorphisms. Let \(H_X\) be the isotropy subgroup of \(G\) with respect to \(X\). In this article the induced Hausdorff metric \(d_X\) and the corresponding intrinsic metric \(\hat d_X\), induced by \(d_X\) on \(G/H_X\), are defined and investigated. Some results about geometry and topology of \(G/H_X\) (balls, curves etc.) are proved. A connections with Finsler metrics are established. The main result is the follows. If \(G\) is a Lie group, \((M,d)\) is a differentiable manifold, endowed with a metric \(d\), which is locally Lipschitz equivalent to a Finsler metric, \(X \subset M\) is a compact subset and \(\phi : G \times (M, d) \to (M, d)\) is a smooth left action by isometries, then \((G/H_X, \hat d_X)\) is a \(C^0\)-Finsler manifold. Also an explicit calculations of Finsler metric on \(G/H_X\) in some examples (\(M=\mathbf R, \mathbf R^n, T^2, H^2\), G) are given.
