Considered is an initial boundary value problem for a linear Fokker-Planck equation with non-gradients drifts. Results on the existence and uniqueness of the solution as well as numerical simulations have been shown in a previous article of \textit{J. A. Carrillo} et al. [J. Math. Biol. 63, No. 5, 801--830 (2011; Zbl 1232.92033)]. In the present paper, results on the exponentially convergence to the steady state are proved. Poincaré inequalities are involved.
