This paper presents two results for breadth-one \(D\)-invariant subspaces. Recall that a polynomial subspace is \(D\)-invariant if it is closed under differentiation and the breadth of a \(D\)-invariant polynomial subspace is the maximum number of linear polynomials in any basis of the space. The first result is the equivalence of the two classes of \(D\)-invariant subspaces introduced in [\textit{N. Li} and \textit{L. Zhi}, J. Symb. Comput. 47, No. 6, 700--710 (2012; Zbl 1239.13038)] and [\textit{Z. Li} et al., ISRN Appl. Math. 2012, Article ID 359069, 15 p. (2012; Zbl 1264.41031)], in the sense of coordinate transformation. The second one is the resolution of the discrete approximation problem for the breadth-one \(D\)-invariant subspace. Theorems 4.5 and 4.7 provide two different sets of discrete points, such that the limiting space of the evaluation functionals at these points is the same, namely the functional space induced by the given \(D\)-invariant subspace.
