A \(c\)-mosaic of designs is a \(v \times b\) matrix with \(c\) different entries , so that for each entry \(i\), the cells containing \(i\) form the incidence matrix of a \(t\)-\((v,k_i,\lambda_i)\) design having \(b\) blocks. The authors outline a statistical application of such mosaics, and develop certain constructions, including a general construction for mosaics of resolvable designs. They further define \(q\)-analogues of mosaics and provide an interesting example of one.
