The author wrote two papers on Chebyshev varieties in [JP J. Algebra Number Theory Appl. 5, No. 1, 89--111 (2005; Zbl 1095.11034); ibid. 5, No. 1, 113--145 (2005; Zbl 1095.11035)] and he investigated various characteristics of such varieties. For example, he was considering that a string of brackets corresponds to a subvariety of the Chebyshev varieties. He found that this knowledge can be applied to another very interesting problem. Let \(AC_n\) be a moduli space of \(n\)-gons in the plane such that all of the areas of the triangles consisting of one edge and the origine are equal to each other. Although we can imagine the cases of triangles and parallelogram, this is a non-trivial problem surprisingly. In this paper the author shows that for every \(n \geq 5\) the moduli space is the intersection of three Chebyshev varieties in \(A^n\) and that other interesting properties hold.
