In this paper the authors study the weighted version of Hardy inequality \[ \int_{\Omega}\left|\triangledown u\right|^{p}\left| x\right|^{-pa}\,dx\geq\left(\frac{N-p-pa}{p}\right)^{p}\int_{\Omega}\frac{\left| u\right|^{p}}{\left| x\right|^{p(1+a)}}\,dx, \] for all \(u\in C_{0}^{\infty}(\Omega)\), where \(\Omega\) is a smooth bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^N\) \((N\geq 3)\) with \(0\in\Omega,\) or \(\Omega\in\mathbb{R}^N\), \(1<p<N\) and \(-\infty <a<\frac{N-p}{p}\). The above inequality which is a special case of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities was improved upon when \(\Omega=\mathbb{R}^N\) by adding remainder terms. Specifically, the following new inequality was derived and proved \[ \int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\left|\triangledown u\right|^{p}\left| x\right|^{-pa}\,dx-\left( \frac{N-p-pa}{p}\right)^{p}\int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{\left| u\right|^{p}}{\left| x\right|^{p(1+a)}}\, dx\geq C\frac{\left( \int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\left| x\right|^{\delta}\left| u\right|^{\frac{n}{1-t-\gamma}}dx\right)^{\frac{p(1-t-\gamma)}{nt}}}{\left( \int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\left| x\right|^{-pa}\left| u\right|^{p}\,dx\right)^{ \frac{1-t}{t}}}, \] holds for for all radially symmetric function \(u\in W_{0,a}^{1,p}(\mathbb{R}^{N})\), \(u\neq 0\), where \(n\in\mathbb{N}\), \(t\in(0,1)\), \(\gamma <\min\{1-t,\frac{p-n}{p}\}\) and \(\delta =n-N+\frac{n}{1-t-\gamma}\Big(\gamma +\frac{N-p-pa}{p}\Big)\). Also on a bounded domain, the authors derived and proved the existence of remainder terms involving the gradient of functions.
