An isolated singular point of a vector field or of a \(1\)-form on a smooth manifold has a well-known integer invariant, the index. An index can also be defined for vector fields or \(1\)-forms on a complex analytic manifold. The notion of the index of an isolated singular point of a vector field or of a \(1\)-form have generalizations to singular (real or complex) analytic varieties, see, for instance, [\textit{W. Ebeling} and the first author, in: Global aspects of complex geometry. Berlin: Springer. 129--169 (2006; Zbl 1124.32012)]. One of these generalizations is the radial index, which is defined for an isolated singular point of a vector field or of a \(1\)-form on an arbitrary (real or complex) analytic variety [\textit{W. Ebeling} and the first author, Geom. Dedicata 113, 231--241 (2005; Zbl 1110.14004)]. In the present paper the authors first recall the definition of the equivariant radial index for a \(G\)-invariant holomorphic \(1\)-form with isolated singularity on a germ of a complex-analytic variety with an action of a finite group \(G\) [\textit{W. Ebeling} and the first author, Eur. J. Math. 1, No. 2, 286--301 (2015; Zbl 1336.14007)]. This index takes values in the Burnside ring \(A(G)\) of the group, and its image in the complex representation ring \(R(G)\) is called the reduced equivariant radial index. Inspired by the definition of the usual index of a \(1\)-form, the authors define an equivariant homological index with values in \(R(G)\) for \(G\)-invariant \(1\)-forms on germs with isolated singularity. Here they prove that the equivariant homological index and the reduced equivariant radial index of a singular point of a holomorphic 1-form on a smooth complex analytic manifold coincide. The proof is by induction on the dimension of the manifold and on the order of a (cyclic) group. This statement allows them to consider the difference between these indices as a version of the equivariant Milnor number of a germ of a G-variety with an isolated singular point. The paper is very well written and nice to read.
