Locally finite bimonoids are relevant in automata theory. In [Inf. Sci. 228, 26--36 (2013; Zbl 1293.03034)], the author considered t-norm based bimonoids where the t-norm is representable as an ordinal sum of continuous Archimedean t-norms. This paper investigates bimonoids arising from continuous t-norms which are ordinal sums of Łukasiewicz summands. Special classes of interest to the theory of weighted automata are considered. Local finiteness is shown to be incompatible with a certain property involving the overlap of t-norm and t-conorm summands.
