Prolongations, suspensions and telescopes (Q1701168)

The aim of this paper is to give categorical models for diverse phase spaces of continuous and discrete semi-flows and flows and for the relations between these different phase spaces. The paper also introduce some constructions such as prolongation of continuous and discrete semi-flows and the telescopic functors. Considering small Top-categories, as categorical models of the solutions of the differential equations, some categories of continuous functors from a small Top-category to the category of topological spaces are taken. Further disretizations, suspensions, prolongation are described in terns of adjoint functors. The main contributions of the paper are the development of some connections between the theory of enriched categories and the theory of dynamic systems; and the construction of a tensor product associated to a functor between small Top-categories and the interpretation of prolongations, suspensions and telescopes as special cases of this tensor product.
