This paper consider the particular case of a dynamical system of the form \[ \dot{x}(t)=u(x(t),t), \] \[ \dot{f}(t)=g(x(t),t) \] with the smooth velocity field \(u: \mathbb R^{d}\times \mathbb R\rightarrow\mathbb R^{d}\) and a given initial or terminal boundary condition for the variable time. To construct the approximate forward or backward flow map for this problem the Euler method and Runge-Kutta methods of different order are used. This technique is applied to various examples of dynamical systems, such as the ocean surface current analysis, the asymptotic approximation to high frequency wave propagation and other. The numerical results are obtained and illustrated using \texttt{MATLAB}.
