    The authors study elliptic problems of the form \[ \begin{aligned} -\Delta u & = V u^p + k \delta_0 \quad \text{ in }\mathbb{R}^N,\\ \lim_{|x|\to +\infty} u(x) & = 0, \end{aligned} \] where \(N>2\), \(p>0\), \(k>0\), the term \(\delta_0\) denotes the Dirac mass at the origin and the potential \(V\) is assumed to be locally Lipschitz continuous in \(\mathbb{R}^N\setminus \{0\}\) with non-empty support such that \[ \begin{aligned} 0 \leq V(x) \leq \frac{\sigma_1}{|x|^{a_0} \left(1+|x|^{a_\infty-a_0} \right)}, \end{aligned}\tag{1} \] where \(a_0<N\), \(a_0<a_\infty\) and \(\sigma_1>0\). Under additional assumptions on the parameters \(a_\infty\), \(a_0\), \(p\) and \(k\), the authors show the existence of two positive solutions of problem (1), whereby the first one is a minimal positive solution and the second one is obtained via the mountain pass theorem.
