Let $G$ be any finite group and let $\mathbb{Z}[G]$ be the integral group ring of $G$. Denote by $\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{Z}[G])$ the group of units of $\mathbb{Z}[G]$ and by $Z(\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{Z}[G]))$ the group of central units of $\mathbb{Z}[G]$. Let $\mathrm{Irr}(G)$ be the set of irreducible complex characters of $G$. The group $G$ is said to have the \textit{CUT-property} if $Z(\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{Z}[G]))=\{\pm g\mid g \in G\}.$, i.e., the integral group ring $\mathbb{Z}[G]$ has only trivial central units. A finite group $G$ is said to be quadratic rational if $[\mathbb{Q}(\chi) : \mathbb{Q}] \leq 2$ for every irreducible character $\chi\in \mathrm{Irr}(G)$. In this paper the author enumerates all finite non-abelian simple groups $S$ which can occur as a composition factors of $G$ when (i) $G$ is a finite group with the CUT-property (Theorem 1.1) and (ii) $G$ is a finite quadratic rational group (Theorem 1.2).
