The author explores the moduli stack of elliptic curves over fields of characteristic \(2\). \textit{B. Antieau} and \textit{L. Meier} computed the Brauer group of the moduli stack of elliptic curves over various base schemes \(S\). In particular, they proved that the Brauer group is trivial if \(S\) is an algebraically closed field of characteristic different from \(2\) [``The Brauer group of the moduli stack of elliptic curves'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1608.00851}]. In the present paper, the author computes the remaining case: Theorem [\textit{M. Shin}, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 223, No. 5, 1966--1999 (2019; Zbl 07006252), Theorem 1.1]. Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(2\). Then the Brauer group of the moduli stack of elliptic curves \(\mathcal{M}_{1,1,k}\) is isomorphic to \(\mathbb{Z}/2\mathbb{Z}\). As a part of the calculations, the author additionally describes the Brauer group of \(\mathcal{M}_{1,1,k}\), where \(k\) is a finite field of characteristic \(2\).
