Average case tractability of multivariate approximation with Gaussian kernels (Q1717623)

The authors study \(d\)-varied approximation problems in the average case setting in the weighted \(L_2\) space with the standard Gaussian weight. In order to solve these problems, they consider the average case error of algorithms that use finitely many arbitrary class linear functionals. They examine different notions of tractability and exponential convergence-tractability (EC-tractability). Necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of the shape parameters are also provided.
