Summary: The main goal of this paper is to investigate the global asymptotic behavior of the difference equation \(x_{n+1}=\frac{\beta_1 x_n}{A_1+y_n}\), \(y_{n+1}=\frac{\beta_2 x_n + \gamma_2 y_n}{x_n+y_n}\), \(n=0,1,2,\dots\) with \(\beta_1, \beta_2,\gamma_2,A_1 \in(0,\infty)\) and the initial value \((x_0,y_0)\in[0,\infty)\times[0,\infty)\) such that \(x_0+y_0\neq 0\). The major conclusion shows that, in the case where \(\gamma_2 < \beta_2\), if the unique positive equilibrium \((\bar x, \bar y)\) exists, then it is globally asymptotically stable.
