Summary: We study a generalized equilibrium problem by using a nonsymmetric extension of Ky Fan's inequality. As an application, we present a fixed point type algorithm inspired by a model from \textit{A. Tada} and \textit{W. Takahashi} [J. Optim. Theory Appl. 133, No. 3, 359--370 (2007; Zbl 1147.47052)].
