The author considers a fully discrete \(H^1\)-Galerkin mixed finite element scheme of a one dimensional nonlinear integrodifferential problem. The discretization in time is performed using a Crank-Nicolson method. The model considered here arises for instance in the mathematical modeling of the process of a magnetic field penetrating into a substance. Optimal order a priori error estimates are proved. A numerical example is presented to support the theoretical results.
