The paper deals with the problem of finding radial solutions to the fractional Yamabe problem in $\mathbb{R}^n,$ $n\geq2,$ with an isolated singularity at the origin. That is equivalent to look for positive, radially symmetric solutions of \[ (-\Delta)^\gamma w=c_{n,\gamma} w^{\frac{n+2\gamma}{n-2\gamma}}\quad \text{in}\ \mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\} \] with $\gamma\in (0,n/2)$ and where the constant $c_{n,\gamma}$ is appropriately normalized. \par On the base of previous studies, available in the literature, the authors consider solutions of the form \[ w(|x|)=|x|^{-\frac{n-2\gamma}{2}}v(|x|)\quad \text{in}\ \mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\} \] with a suitable function $v$ satisfying $0 c_1 \leq v \leq c_2.$ The natural conformal geometry interpretation of the studied problem is used in order to obtain information regarding the isolated singularities for the operator $(-\Delta)^\gamma$ from scattering theory. Moreover, by means of a dynamical system approach a sort of phase portrait is performed for the non-local PDE.
