For a complex polynomial \(p\) and \(\lambda\geq0\), define (\({\mathbb T}\) denotes the unit circle) \[ A(\lambda):=\bigl\{\zeta\in{\mathbb T}:|p(\zeta)|>\lambda\bigr\} \] and let \(D(\lambda)\) be the Lebesgue measure of \(A(\lambda)\). In this paper, the authors prove that \(D(\lambda)\) is continuous on \((0,\|p\|)\) and differentiable on \((0,\|p\|)\) except at a finite set of points (\(\|p\|\) denotes the supremum norm of \(p\) on \({\mathbb T}\)).
