Let \(F\) denote a non-archimedean local field and let \(G\) stand for a reductive group defined over \(F\). The category \(\mathcal{R}(G)\) of smooth representations of \(G\) can be decomposed into a product of additive subcategories as \(\mathcal{R}(G) = \Pi_{s} \mathcal R^s(G)\), where \(s\) runs over the set of inertial classes of cuspidal pairs. In the paper under the review, the authors provide a construction of types corresponding to a single factor \(\mathcal R^s\), as covers of the supercuspidal types on Levi subgroups, in a uniform manner. The given construction holds for general reductive \(p\)-adic groups, and it is shown that it provides sufficiently many types to study all irreducible admissible representations, under a certain tameness hypothesis on \(G\). For the entire collection see [Zbl 1387.11001].
