The purpose of this interesting article is to study the higher-order Euler polynomials and give the corresponding monic orthogonal polynomials, which are the Meixner-Pollaczek polynomials with certain arguments and constant factors. Theorems with generalized Motzkin numbers, continued fractions and an infinite dimensional matrix are proved. Examples with Dyck paths are given in the end. Reviewer's remarks: The numbers \(E_n\) in formula (1) are Euler numbers only after substitution (13). The recurrence (5) does not correspond to Carlitz formula. The polynomials in definition 3 are not the same as the Meixner-Pollaczek polynomials in [\textit{S. Kanas} and \textit{A. Tatarczak}, Adv. Difference Equ. 2013, Paper No. 131, 14 p. (2013; Zbl 1392.33006)]. The recurrence for Meixner-Pollaczek polynomials in Proposition 1 is not proved.
