    Renormalisation group equations (RGE) are responsible for the scaling behaviour of dimensionless and dimensional parameters in Quantum Field Theory. RGEs can be solved either explicitly which is a quite tendious duty mostly avoided in literature. Instead, for dimensional parameters a dummy field method can be used to deal for instance with the scaling of the mass parameter. \par In this publication the authors point out that the use of dummy scalar fields can lead to mistakes in the calculation, as scalar fields can have identical quantum numbers and, therefore, are able to mix. Taking into account this effect, the authors obtain results which differ from previous results in the literature. The results are cross-checked with explicit results derived from well-tested supersymmetric calculations, and numerical consequences of their corrections are demonstrated for a general Two-Higgs-Doublet-Model type-III.
