A solution to a geometric evolution equation, such as the mean curvature flow, is called \textit{ancient} if it exists for all $t \in (-\infty, T)$ for some $T \in \mathbb{R}$. An ancient compact convex solution to mean curvature flow is called \textit{ancient oval.} (The trivial case of a sphere is excluded). Existence for $t \in (-\infty, T)$ is a strong condition: It is conjectured that for each pair $(k,\ell) \in \mathbb{N}^2$ there is a unique ``noncollapsed'' ancient oval with $O(k) \times O(\ell)$ symmetry, up to some obvious transformations. Here, the term ``noncollapsed'' refers to a global curvature condition on the convex body. This paper is concerned with the case of smooth, noncollapsed ancient oval solutions with $O(1) \times O(n)$ symmetry. The rescaled solution of their parabolic blow-up is subject to inequality constraints on their diameter, Hausdorff measure, and maximum mean curvature. Their asymptotics for $t \to -\infty$ are, indeed, unique and allow a precise description.
