The author continues the study of selection principles of open covers and the associated games. The selection principle is as follows: $S_{\mathrm{fin}}(\mathcal{A,B})$ states that given $A_n\in\mathcal A$ for $m\in\omega$, there is $B_n\in[A_n]^{<\omega}$, such that $\bigcup_{n\in\omega}B_n\in\mathcal B$. The associated selection game is $G_{\mathrm{fin}}(\mathcal{A,B})$ where during each round $n\in\omega$, Player I first chooses $A_n\in\mathcal A$ and then Player II chooses $B_n\in[A_n]^{<\omega}$, Player II wins if $\bigcup_{n\in\omega}B_n\in\mathcal B$, and Player I wins otherwise. If Player II has a winning strategy in $G_{\mathrm{fin}}(\mathcal{A,B})$ then $S_{\mathrm{fin}}(\mathcal{A,B})$ holds, but the converse does not necessarily hold. For instance, a space $X$ is \textit{selectively separable} ($SS$ for short) if $\mathcal{A=B}$ is the collection of all dense subsets of $X$ and $S_{\mathrm{fin}}(\mathcal{A,B})$ holds. If Player II has a winning strategy in $G_{\mathrm{fin}}(\mathcal{A,B})$, the selective separability game for $X$, then $X$ is $SS^+$. \textit{D. Barman} and \textit{A. Dow} showed that $SS$ does not imply $SS^+$ [Topol. Proc. 37, 181--204 (2011; Zbl 1207.54036)]. When the winning strategy of Player II depends only on the last move of Player I then it is called a Markov winning strategy. The main aim for the author is contibute to the understanding of Gruenhague's question: Does $SS^+$ imply $SS^+$ with a Markov winning strategy? The author presents several interesting results on related properties as Menger property, Rothberger property, countable fan tightness, etc., and shows an example of a space which has countable fan tightness with a winning strategy for Player II but Player II has no Markov winning strategy.
