This paper is concerning the 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes unsteady flow around a rigid body with a steady no-rotational movement. At large distances, the horizontal velocity is a constant. A new velocity is introduced, with zero values at infinity, and a Navier-Stokes system with Oseen term is obtained. The asymptotic behavior of the flow velocity behind the rigid body, which could be directly observed, is studied. A pointwise space-time estimate of the velocity gradient is obtained, improving the results of \textit{P. Deuring} [SIAM J. Math. Anal. 45, No. 3, 1388--1421 (2013; Zbl 1294.35059)], where only a spatial decay was given. An important function space (denoted by $H_{\infty}$) is used, described in the paper [\textit{Z. Shen}, Am. J. Math. 113, No. 2, 293--373 (1991; Zbl 0734.35080)]. The main mathematical tools are the fractional derivative, the Minkowski's inequality for integrals, some Sobolev inequalities and the fundamental solutions for the heat equation, time-dependent Stokes and Oseen systems. A very interesting analysis is performed in section 8, concerning the assumptions on the spatial forces, initial data and boundary conditions on the rigid body surface, which are necessary for obtaining the main result.
