    The authors consider the Kirchhoff-type second-order impulsive differential problem \[ \begin{aligned} & K(\int_0^\infty( |u'(t)|^2 + q(t)|u(t)|^2)dt)(-u''(t) + q(t)u(t)) = \lambda f(t,u(t)), \quad t \in [0,\infty),\;t \neq t_j,\\ & \triangle u'(t_j) = \mu I_j(u(t_j)), \quad j = 1,\ldots,p,\\ & u'(0+) = g(u(0)), \;u'(\infty) = 0, \end{aligned} \] where \(K\) is a nondecreasing continuous and bounded (from below and from above by positive constants) function, \(q \in L^\infty([0,\infty))\), \(\lambda, \mu \in \mathbb R\), \(I_j\) are continuous for all \(j\), \(0< t_1 < \ldots< t_p\), \(f\) is a Carathéodory function, \(g\) is a Lipschitz continuous function, \(g(0) = 0\). The authors use the eigenvalue theory and variational methods to prove existence and multiplicity results. They obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one, two and three weak solutions of the BVP.
