The authors determine the monodromy action on \(H^1(F, \mathbb C)\), where \(F\) is the Milnor fiber of the hyperplane arrangement associated to the reflection group \(G_{31}\). Let us recall that the Milnor fiber \(F\) of an arrangement of hyperplanes \(\mathcal A\) is endowed with a monodromy morphism \(h:F\rightarrow F\) given by \(h(x_1,\dots,x_n)=\exp (2\pi \iota / d)\cdot (x_1,\dots,x_n)\), and the induced monodromy operator is given \[ h^1:H^1(F, \mathbb C) \rightarrow H^1(F,\mathbb C). \] The main result of the paper describes the monodromy operator of the reflection arrangement \(\mathcal A(G_{31})\) associated to the reflection group \(G_{31}\). This hyperplane arrangement consists of \(60\) hyperplanes in \(\mathbb C^4\). Main Theorem. The monodromy operator \[ h^1: H^1(F(G_{31}), \mathbb C) \rightarrow H^1(F(G_{31}),\mathbb C) \] for the exceptional complex reflection group \(G_{31}\) is the identity. In particular, the Betti number \(b_1(F(G_{31}))\) is equal to \(59\).
