The paper refers to a system of semilinear wave equations with quadratic null form nonlinearities and small initial data, \(\square\Phi = N(t,x)\), \((\Phi,\partial_t\Phi)_{t=0}=\epsilon(F(x),G(x))\). The authors claim, that system can be viewed as a model for incompressible MHD systems placed in a strong magnetic background. The aim in this article is to obtain new type of weighted energy estimates with positive weights for linear waves in \(\mathbb R^{1+1}\). By means of these estimates, the existence of global solutions is then proved.
