Let \(f=\prod_{j=1}^\ell f_j^{r_j}\), where each \(f_j\in\mathbb{Z}[x]\) is irreducible and non-linear polynomial, the \(f_j\)s are pairwise coprime, and \(1\leq r_1\leq r_2\leq\dots\leq r_\ell\). The main result of the paper under review gives an asymptotic formula for the sum \[ \sum_{M\leq y}\sum_{\substack{ n\leq x\\ M\| f(n) }} \Lambda(n), \] for \(M\in\mathbb{N}\), where \(\Lambda\) is von Mangoldt function. From the sum above, the author obtains an asymptotic formula for the sum \[ \sum_{M\leq y}\sum_{\substack{ p\leq x\\ M\| f(p)}} \log p, \] and, as an immediate corollary, for the sum \[ \sum_{M\leq y}\sum_{\substack{ p\leq x\\ M\| f(p) }} 1, \] which counts the exact divisors (not exceeding of \(y\)) of \(f(p)\) for primes \(p\leq x\) (with \(y\) as large as possible in terms of \(x\)). The proof based on applying the Siegel-Walfisz theorem and a result of \textit{R. C. Vaughan} [Acta Arith. 37, 111--115 (1980; Zbl 0448.10037)] that he used to give an essentially elementary proof of the Bombieri-Vinogradov theorem.
