      Consider the Kolmogorov system \[ \begin{aligned} {dx\over dt} &= x\Biggl({R(x,y)\over S(x,y)}+ \sqrt{P(x,y)}\, \exp\Biggl({M(x,y)\over N(x,y)}\Biggr)\Biggr),\\ {dy\over dt} &= y\Biggl({R(x,y)\over S(x,y)}+ \sqrt{Q(x,y)}\, \exp\Biggl({M(x,y)\over N(x, y)}\Biggr)\Biggr),\end{aligned}\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(R\), \(S\), \(P\), \(Q\), \(M\), \(N\) are homogeneous polynomials. The author derives conditions such that \((*)\) has a first integral implying that \((*)\) has no periodic solution.
