Stability of the elliptic Harnack inequality (Q1746447)

The authors prove that the elliptic Harnack inequality (on a manifold, graph, or suitably regular metric measure space) is stable under bounded perturbations, as well as rough isometries. More precisely this paper answer to the problem of the stability of the Elliptic Harnack Inequality (EHI), and also the question of finding a satisfactory characterization of the EHI. To understand the importance of this achievement we recall what was written by \textit{A. Grigor'yan} et al.``An interesting (and obviously hard) question is the characterization of the elliptic Harnack inequality in more geometric terms -- so far nothing is known, not even a conjecture'' [J. Math. Soc. Japan 67, No. 4, 1485--1549 (2015; Zbl 1331.35152)].
