Deformation of the product of complex Fano manifolds (Q1747413)

The paper under review shows that, for Fano manifolds, the property that being a product of two Fano manifolds is rigid under deformation. More precisely, for a connected family of complex Fano manifolds, if some fiber is a product of two Fano manifolds of lower dimensions, then so is every fiber. Note that it is necessary to assume that each fiber is Fano. As a corollary, for a connected family of complex Fano manifolds, if some fiber is a Hermitian symmetric space of compact type, then all fibers are isomorphic.
