In the paper under review, the authors investigate an interesting conjecture which is attributed to \textit{J. P. Demailly} [Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 110, 75--102 (1982; Zbl 0493.32003)]. Let \(Z \subset \mathbb{C}^{N}\) be a finite set of points, and we denote by \(\alpha(mZ)\) the least degree of a polynomial vanishing at all points of \(Z\) to order at least \(m\). Moreover, we denote by \(\hat{\alpha}(Z)\) the so-called Waldschmidt constant, i.e., \[ \hat{\alpha}(Z) := \lim_{m \rightarrow \infty} \frac{\alpha(mZ)}{m}. \] Conjecture. (Demailly). Let \(Z \subset \mathbb{C}^{N}\) be a finite set of points, then for all \(m\geq 1\) one has \[ \hat{\alpha}(Z) \geq \frac{ \alpha(mZ) + N -1}{m+N - 1}. \] The main result of the paper can be formulated as follows (following the authors). Main Theorem. The Demailly's Conjecture holds \(s \geq (m+1)^{N}\) very general points in \(\mathbb{P}^{N}\). It is worth pointing out that the authors prove only a variation on Demailly's Conjecture since they assume that the number of points is sufficiently large and depends on \(m\).
