This paper gives systematic methods to compute the Picard group of a Poisson manifold. Let us recall that the notion of Picard group for an integrable Poisson manifold has been introduced by the first author and \textit{A. Weinstein} [Mosc. Math. J. 4, No. 1, 39--66 (2004; Zbl 1068.53055)]. In this work, the authors first recall the basic notions and study explicit examples. Then they etablish a link between the Picard group and the group of gauge transformations up to Poisson diffeomorphisms. They also prove a conjecture of \textit{A. S. Cattaneo} and \textit{G. Felder} [Prog. Math. 198, 61--93 (2001; Zbl 1038.53074)], stating that the Picard group corresponding to a compact simple Lie algebra \(\mathfrak {g}\) agrees with the group of outer automorphisms of \(\mathfrak{g}\).
