This paper deals with the study of the two-dimensional BCS functional with a radial pair interaction. The authors are interested in the translational symmetry in a certain temperature interval below the critical temperature. The absence of translational symmetry breaking is established in two situations. First, the two-dimensional BCS functional with a radial pair interaction is considered and the existence of a temperature interval below the critical temperature is established, in which the translational symmetry of the system persists. Next, it is established that the same analysis remains valid in the three-dimensional case if the Cooper-pairs are in an \(s\)-wave state.
