Let \(A^2\) denote the Bergman space of the unit disk in the complex plane. Let \(k_z\) denote the normalized reproducing kernel of \(A^2\). Given a bounded linear operator \(T: A^2\to A^2\), the function \(\widetilde T\) defined by \(\widetilde T(z)=\langle Tk_z, k_z\rangle\) is called the Berezin transform of \(T\). It is clear that \(\widetilde T\) is bounded on the unit disk. The paper under review studies the relationship between the Berezin transform of the operator \(T\), its absolute value \(|T|\), and its adjoint \(T^*\).
