The paper deals with the pseudoparabolic equation with fractional Gerasimov-Caputo derivative of order \(\alpha\) \[ \partial^\alpha_{0t}u=\dfrac{1}{x^m} \dfrac{\partial}{\partial x}\left(x^m k(x,t)\dfrac{\partial u}{\partial x}\right)+\dfrac{1}{x^m} \partial^\alpha_{0t}\dfrac{\partial}{\partial x}\left(x^m\eta(x)\dfrac{\partial u}{\partial x}\right)+ r(x,t)\dfrac{\partial u}{\partial x}-q(x,t)u +f(x,t) \] in the closed rectangle \(\{(x,t)\in\mathbb{R}^2:\;0\leq x\leq l,\;0\leq t\leq T\},\) where \(\partial^\alpha_{0t}u=\frac{1}{\Gamma(1-\alpha)}\int_0^t \frac{u_\tau(x,\tau)}{(t-\tau)^\alpha}\;dt,\) \(\alpha\in(0,1),\) \(m\in [0,2],\) and suitable conditions are imposed on the coefficients. The author proves a priori estimates in differential and difference settings, that imply uniqueness and stability of the solution with respect to the initial data and the right-hand side, as well as convergence of the solution of each of the difference problem to the solution of the corresponding differential problem.
