The Keller-Segel-Stokes system with \(\nabla\cdot(n(n+1)^{-\alpha}\nabla c)\) transport term is studied in bounded three-dimensional domains. The main result is that if \(\alpha>\frac13\) then the corresponding Neumann-Dirichlet initial boundary problem has a global in time, bounded, classical solution. Since there are results on the occurrence of blowing up solutions when \(\alpha<\frac13\), it appears that the exponent \(\alpha=\frac13\) is critical for the Keller-Segel-Stokes systems as is for the corresponding fluid-free chemotaxis model.
